1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Cogwise website at cogwiseo.blog and the watch repair and restoration services offered by Cogwise, located at 142 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand.

By browsing our website or bringing a watch to us for service, you agree to these terms. If any part of these terms is unclear, please contact us before proceeding.

2. Services offered

Cogwise provides the following watch repair and restoration services:

• Mechanical Movement Servicing — Full disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, timing inspection, and reassembly of automatic and hand-wound movements.
• Quartz Battery & Seal Check — Battery replacement, gasket inspection, case-back reseat, and a basic water-resistance check on supported cases.
• Vintage Timepiece Restoration — Multi-stage restoration work including movement overhaul, case and dial refinishing, and part sourcing for older or inherited pieces.

Scope, timeline, and pricing for each service are discussed and agreed with the customer before work begins. Cogwise reserves the right to decline a service request where the condition of a timepiece falls outside our scope of practice.

3. Estimates and pricing

Prices listed on our website represent standard service rates. The final cost may vary depending on the actual condition of the watch, availability of parts, and the scope of work required. Any cost changes beyond the initial estimate will be communicated to you before work proceeds.

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due upon collection of the completed watch. We accept cash and bank transfer; payment methods are confirmed at the point of intake.

4. Intake, care, and liability

When you leave a watch with us, we record its condition in writing. This condition note forms the basis for the work agreed. Cogwise handles all timepieces with care consistent with industry workshop practice.

While every effort is made to preserve the original condition of each piece, older or delicate components may become brittle or unpredictable during servicing. We will inform you promptly if we encounter anything unexpected that changes the scope or risk of the work.

Cogwise is not responsible for pre-existing damage that was not noted at intake, nor for faults arising from prior undisclosed repairs by third parties. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed.

5. Collection and uncollected items

We will notify you when your watch is ready for collection by phone or email. You are expected to collect your timepiece within 60 days of notification. After this period, we may apply a storage fee of ฿200 per month.

Watches left uncollected for more than 12 months, with no response to repeated contact attempts, may be treated as abandoned. In such cases, Cogwise will take reasonable further steps as permitted under Thai law before any disposal.

6. Parts and sourcing

Where original manufacturer parts are not available, we will discuss suitable alternatives with you before use. We do not fit parts without your agreement. For vintage restoration work, part sourcing may extend the project timeline; this will be agreed in advance.

7. Website use

The content on our website is provided for general information about our services. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate, but we cannot warrant that all information is complete or up to date at every moment.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use our website content for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only — we do not control or endorse their content.

8. Intellectual property

All text, images, and design elements on this website are the property of Cogwise or used under licence. The Cogwise name, logo, and associated marks are proprietary. Unauthorised use is not permitted.

9. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our website or services, you acknowledge that we may collect and use your information in the ways described there.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from the use of our services or website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our website or services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
